Hey folks,
Next Friday, I'm heading out on a week-long a road trip adventure with one of my friends from College and one of his friends he's met this year in London. We're driving up from London to Scotland, along the west coast by some castles and ruins, stopping on the Isle of Skye for a couple nights (supposedly quite beautiful), and coming back around on the East side by Inverness, Loch Ness, and through Edinburgh.
Just a few days after I get back from Scotland, I fly out to Taiwan for a couple weeks to visit my dad and extended family, and my mom who will be flying out from WA to meet me there as well. This trip should be a great break from the cold/grey weather of the UK, heh. I'll probably be doing some touristy things with my parents, which will be a nice change from previous trips where it's just been meeting up with family.
If anyone wants anything from Scotland (some local Scotch, etc), or Taiwan (excellent loose-leaf teas, etc), let me know. I'm not sure when I'll be back in the states, but I'm planning on making a trip back sometime over the summer.
Hope you're all well, Em

Sounds like lots of fun, kind of wish I had some travel plans comming up. hmm.....that offer is very hard to refuse, tea.....and scotch......scotch tea? I think we're on to something. Since you offered, I wouldn't mind having a fancy bottle, and a little bit of tea, but only if you have room. Chances are you're not going to get out to Islay, but if you do end up having room and see a 16 year Lagavulin, or an 18 year Caol Ila or similar Islay Scotch, it would be fun to have one of those, (I can get them in the states for about $70 so if it's not really a better deal than that, forget it), if you don't see any of those, something cask strength would be cool, but if any of them are over $50 equivalent, it's probably not worth it. I have been getting back into tea a little, and it would be fun to have some "exotic" ones, if you feel so inclined, it'd be neat to have a variety, it's always classy to say, "this one's from overseas"
p.s. if you've been getting new tv shows....why haven't I? also, thanks for all the Rome, it's been fun if slightly awkward.
